About the Artist
Dale Fairbanks' paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers throughout the United States, including the Anchorage Museum of History and Art in Anchorage, Alaska; the Switzer Center for Visual Arts, Pensacola Junior College in Pensacola, Florida; Trinity Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia; the Touchstone Gallery in Washington, DC; and the Art Center of Northern New Jersey, New Milford, New Jersey.
Artist Statement
I paint what I encounter, what I hear, and what I am jostled by in the street. I paint with urgency that simultaneously repels and attracts – scraping, layering, digging out, de-constructing, canceling, and renewing. I push and pull across the surface: energy, chaos, and control.
