She Holds the World in Her Wildflower Basket

She Holds the World in Her Wildflower Basket

Size: 60″×60″ * Medium: Oil on Canvas

I am intrigued by women, intrigued by what they do with the lives they have been delivered, or the lives they have chosen. I am baffled, surprised, inspired, horrified, and more often than not deeply moved by the women I know and love, by the women I see in my small world, the women I see in the larger world, by the women I read about, by the women I watch on television. The series of paintings I began in 2006 continues to have life much to my amusement and to my dismay. These women refuse to let the story end. Who am I to deny them their say!
